Wide Blade Foil - 4 Blade (PV4)

Developed in the industry as a “high solidity” design with a high ratio of blade area as compared to the cross sectional area. Although there is added cost by doing this, the design performs very well for gas/liquid blending applications such as fermentations. Often used in conjunction with a Smith Turbine. The PV4 impeller is able to work in a gas-rich concentration without large reduction in power input.
